Earth Hour: March 28, 2009 8:30PM
This Saturday March 28 at 8:30 PM TechTicks Team will be participating the Earth Hour global movement. By simply switching the lights off for an hour, you’ve just voted for EARTH.
Cebu City gears up for “Earth Hour” too. Local government units, business establishments, residents of exclusive subdivisions and the police force supports this campaign also.
Other establishments like SM City Cebu will be participating too.

A brief background of what is Earth Hour all about
Earth Hour began in Sydney in 2007, when 2.2 million homes and businesses switched off their lights for one hour. In 2008 the message had grown into a global sustainability movement, with 50 million people switching off their lights. Global landmarks such as the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, Rome’s Colosseum, the Sydney Opera House and the Coca Cola billboard in Times Square all stood in darkness.
